Hallway Kids

In the movie, The Breakfast Club, there are several main characters to the plot of the story. It's a Brain, an Athlete, a Basket Case, a Princess, and a Criminal. They grow a special bond during the course of a detention one Saturday.

Each of the kids in this story are typical plot kids. You know what I'm talking about, it's the kids that movies are about. That movies are always about.

American Christians

The country I live in, the infamous United States of America, is a predominately Christian nation. We're the land of the free, we're welcome, and even encouraged to be anything we want: Christians, Buddhists, Muslims, Atheists, anything we can think of. Nobody is forced into Christianity, not by any means, it's chosen because people want it.

Worth the Wait

I'm sorry you guys! I've kind of disappeared for a while.

Don't think I abandoned you completely though, I have started to write on several occasions, always ready with my research to write something that would help you learn something new, or open you eyes to something you had never thought of before.

But every time I started to write I would get distracted and then loose all motivation.

Why haven't I been writing?

To be completely honest with you guys, I met a boy.

Growing Pains

If you've ever hit a growth spurt, you know how badly growing pains can hurt. Sometimes it can feel like you've broken everything in your body. Sometimes you just want to crawl out of your own skin and run away.

But at the end, you're like, a foot taller. And you're like "hey, that was totally worth it."

Of course, there's still repercussions once the pain is over. Like buying new clothes because you outgrew all your old favorite jeans. And your toes getting squished in your old, favorite sneakers that you can't wear anymore. So it's out with all of last summer's clothes and time for new everything.

Doctor Who Fanfictions

So, I just found these really short little fanfiction stories I wrote a while back for a page I used to admin on Facebook.

A journey of a thousand miles...

She's sitting on her knees, overlooking the valley.

Above her is a vivid blue sky, spotted with thin, trailing, white clouds. 

Far into the distance is a mountain. Tall, strong, and majestic, the purplish rocks look slightly menacing, and very powerful. 

The valley below her is green and lush. Further into the valley is a forest, dark, thick, and frightening.

She sits there, fingering the grass around her knees, the slight breeze playing with her hair. She watches as small creatures, birds, squirrels, groundhogs and the like, run about in the valley, busy with their lives.

If you are anything like me, you have at some point found yourself enraptured in the pages of Jane Eyre. You've cried with Jane, loved Mr. Rochester, and hated him at the same time. You've been held captive by the haunting, romantic, tragic tale at every turn of the page. 

I've read Jane Eyre so many times that my faithful copy of the story is starting to fall apart. The first time I read it, I was doubtful. Don't get me wrong, I was a fan of Victorian era love stories as much as the next girl, (Lord knows, I've read Pride and Prejudice too many times to count), but Jane Eyre seemed waaaaaaaay too long for a love story. I thought it would probably be kind of boring.

Of course, after I finished reading it the first time, I immediately flipped back to the beginning and started reading it again.
